MITO SettembreMusica 2011 UN APPUNTAMENTO DA NON PERDERE da domani 3 settembre
Le origini di MITO si rintracciano nella suggestiva iniziativa dell’intellettuale Giorgio Balmas che nel 1978, creò nella città di Torino, il festival Settembre Musica: evento che si prefiggeva di portare la musica colta al di fuori dei tradizionali luoghi deputati alla sua diffusione. Si rendeva così possibile la nascita di un nuovo ed eterogeneo pubblico attratto da ricchi ed originali programmi; era un progetto di autentica avanguardia che evidenziava la grande vitalità culturale che, da alcuni anni, permeava il capoluogo piemontese. Dal 1986 la direzione artistica del Festival è stata consegnata a Enzo Restagno e Roman Vlad che hanno continuato a definire la scia improntata dal suo fondatore sino al 2006, anno nel quale Enzo Restagno, diviene unico responsabile con un incarico che dal 2007 si amplia con la direzione di MITO SettembreMusica, rassegna culturale che sancisce uno storico gemellaggio tra le città di Milano & Torino. Sin dalla sua fondazione Settembre Musica è stato organizzato dalla Città di Torino, con il sostegno della Fondazione Teatro Regio di Torino e dell’Unione Musicale. A causa del suo ampliamento nelle due città protagoniste - Torino & Milano, dal 2007, l evento è sostenuto dalla Città di Milano, dall’Associazione per il Festival Internazionale della Musica di Milano e dal 2008, per il capoluogo piemontese, all’elenco si è aggiunta la Fondazione per le Attività Musicali Torino. Primaria prerogativa ed assoluta specificità del festival è quella di accostare ai tradizionali concerti sinfonici e da camera, programmi di repertorio, musica antica e jazz, rock e canzone d’autore.Dee Dee Mau - News
