Tuesday's police log: Carson and Torrance
| POLICE NEWS | BLOG: SOUTH BAY CRIME, COURT NEWS | FACEBOOK Carson1. Residential burglary. 11:30 a.m. to 9:55 p.m. Oct. 31, 500 block of East Bayport Street. No signs of forced entry. The location was ransacked. No loss was reported.
2. Burglary. Oct. 21 to Nov. 4, 18600 block of Wall Street. Jewelry was reported stolen from a residence.
3. Commercial burglary. 8 p.m. Nov. 2 to 9:30 a.m. Nov. 3, 100 block of East Carson Street. A door was pried. Money was reported stolen.
4. Grand theft. 5 p.m. Nov. 4 to 9:45 a.m. Nov. 5, 800 block of East Realty Street. Jewelry was reported stolen from the trunk of an unlocked vehicle.
5. Grand theft. 3:30-4 p.m. Oct. 30, 20700 block of Avalon Boulevard. Saddlebags, a sweatshirt and a leather jacket were reported stolen from a motorcycle.
6. Vandalism. 8:30 p.m. Oct. 5, 300 block of West 228th Street. The victim was sitting in a residence, heard a loud noise, went out to look and saw a section of a wrought iron fence knocked to the ground.
Unincorporated county area
7. Commercial burglary/vandalism. 4:30 p.m. Nov. 2 to 6:32 a.m. Nov. 3, 1100 block of West Carson Street. Unspecified items were reported stolen from a construction site. Bars were pried off a trailer; a toolbox door was broken.
8. Vehicle burglary. 9 p.m. Oct. 29 to 10 a.m. Oct. 30, 1000 block of West Greenhedge Street. Entry possibly through a window. A vehicle battery, wallet, ID and a prepaid credit card were reported stolen.
9. Vandalism. 5 p.m. Oct. 27 to 8a.m. Oct. 28, 22200 block of South Vermont Avenue. A window to a business was damaged, possibly shot with a BB gun.
Torrance
10. Armed robbery. 12:55-1:03 p.m. Oct. 23, Palos Verdes Boulevard and Scott Street. Someone demanded the victim's cellphone while simulating a gun. The victim ran away. No loss reported.
11. Residential burglary. 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27 to 7 a.m. Oct. 28, 3600 block of Emerald Street. Entry through an unlocked door.

One said he placed an envelope containing $382 under the bookie's doormat and noticed a small sedan in the driveway. Otto had borrowed a Honda Civic from Washinko the day of the murder and a search of the car would later yield the clothes he was seen
